COLLECTION
The result of my work essentially responds to the anthropological search about the different dimensions in human corporeality.
Since the beginning of human age, men has embellished and ornamented his body granting it a fundamental symbolic dimension besides from its organic function, in the interaction with the environment.
I experimented with varicose veins; appreciated its different shapes, thickness, textures and colours, allowing them to be felt and seen throughout the skin. Also used wasted animal bones, embroidered them onto the garments to strenghthen the surface, and finally felt; used to protect this new skin.
I tried to discover how we live in our insides.
What is the conception we have about that body we inhabit, that dresses us and throughout which we are, live and relate to others.
In my work I explored the concept of identity in a way where identification doesn't precisely relate to the contrast to others, but on the contrary, in the association between themselves throughout materials, palette, images, shapes and textures.
This is how in the collection I eliminated the skin to show the inside.
Clothing constitutes for men a language. The media by which he can relate to his natural and social environment. Clothing is the way of expression by which we can differentiate and at the same time identify with others.
The collection is intended to represent a dynamic process. Is the result of the experimentation about the contemporary life i'm immersed in.
